I've been trying many things to get my computer back to working properly.  For months now I've not been able to use internet explorer and can only use Mozilla Firefox to search the web.  I've downloaded and ran these programs so far.  CC Cleaner, Adware SE, Norton internet security, Smitfraudfix, superantispyware, xoftspySE.  I've found and removed
"so I thought", trojans, spyware and other malishious things.  I've even been into regedit files and taken out about 50 entries in there.   Just as I'm making this post a popup came again saying   "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and at the top in the address bar it has listed     http://mediasmegaportal.com/phandler.php?sid=0&pn=&aid=0&said=0&pid=4  Today I ran smitfraudfix and immediately reset a new restore point hoping my problems would be cured. So now I'm at this venue.  I'm hoping someone is willing to tackle this situation for me.  I'm new to this sight so please forgive me if I'm outside of proper procedures.  I just downloaded and ran HJT and here's the result.  Thanks

Hi, Aaron.  Welcome to LzD. 

Please do the following: 

• Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop. 
  
• Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive% (Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix). 
  Please Note: 
  • If an error message is displayed when running SDFix, see the instructions in SDFix_ReadMe.
    
  • If you are unale to run in Safe Mode, please download SafeBootKeyRepair.  Save it to your desktop.  Double-Click to run it and follow the provided instruction.
• Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune from http://www.atribune.org/content/view/40/2/ .  Save it to your Desktop.

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  
• Choose your usual account.

Run ATF Cleaner

• Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
• Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
• Click the Empty Selected button.
• Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.

• Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  
• It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
• Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
• When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  
• Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
  (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  
• Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt here as a reply along with a fresh HijackThis log
