tha nk you Corinne and Eric.  Java update... I know it keeps pestering me when I put on my computer, but Ive been pretty leery of things Im not really famliar with, so I keep ignoring it.  So I guess I shouldnt then... oh well, does that mean I'm going to have to stop ignoring that funny uncle who keeps asking me to pull his finger at the family reunion?

Hi 3b,

It is important to keep your version of Java up to date, there is a long history of exploits against Java and Sun regularly updates the JRE to combat these threats. You can get an inkling of the problem from this safe webpage:

Please remember that when you upgrade your Java installation it is important to remove earlier versions (listed in your "Control Panel | Add / remove programs").
