Hi:

Even though you are running an old version of the HJT program, not much showing wrong, mostly a couple of left over items.

However, kind of like to know where you are ?  Korea maybe?

The date on your HJT shows 16Apr.  I checked your profile page and it shows your local date 15Apr.  Having the wrong date, on the PC can cause problems.

I from Singapore.

Yesterday when i switch on my computer, it said error performing inpage operation due to corrupt local profile.
I went and created a new local profile and copy everything from the old profile to the new one... here is a printscreen of my window task manager and i found out one of the task was high and i deleted it, my computer seem much better..
but it is safe to do this??

Here a new one.. wonder it is the same as my first post.

Is your date/time correct?

On these entries:

NMIndexStoreSvr.exe
NMBgMonitor.exe

They are part of your Nero/Ahead software.

Please read here:

http://www.help2go.com/Tutorials/Software_Utilities/Disable_Nero_Scout_in_Nero_7.html

As you wondering if your log has changed, has it?  You can check that out.  :)

You still using BitComet?

Also just noticed.........What firewall are you using?

But your profile date and the current date was the 15th.  Having a wrong date can cause problems with viewing sites.

You did not answer the questions I asked on the Firewall and You still using BitComet?

We are here to help, but we ask questions for a reason.

Grissoft is dropping the free AVG Anti-Spyware.  I suggest MalwareBytes Anti-Malware as a replacement.    See http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

As far as updating to IE7, as far as I am concerned if you are not having problems with IE6, leave it for the time being.  Some people have problems with the latest version.  Four of my five PC's still have IE6. Really up to you  :2cents:

Here is a canned speech I use for updating Java:

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 6 and save it to your desktop.
  • Scroll down to where it says "The Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications."
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Select the Windows platform from the dropdown menu.
  • Read the License Agreement and then check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement". Click on Continue. The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save the file to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click on Add/Remove Programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check (highlight) any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u6-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.
  • After the install is complete, go into the Control Panel (using Classic View) and double-click the Java Icon. (looks like a coffee cup)
    • On the General tab, under Temporary Internet Files, click the Settings button.
    • Next, click on the Delete Files button
    • There are two options in the window to clear the cache - Leave BOTH Checked
        Applications and Applets
        Trace and Log Files
    • Click OK on Delete Temporary Files Window
Note: This deletes ALL the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the CACHE.
    • Click OK to leave the Temporary Files Window
    • Click OK to leave the Java Control Panel.
    [/list]
