This event is generated when a logon session is created. It is generated on the computer that was accessed.

The subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.

The logon type field indicates the kind of logon that occurred. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).

The New Logon fields indicate the account for whom the new logon was created, i.e. the account that was logged on.

The network fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.

The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
   - Logon GUID is a unique identifier that can be used to correlate this event with a KDC event.
   - Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
   - Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
   - Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.

Hi, dyrtidieds.  Welcome to LandzDown Forum.

We will do our best to assist you.  However, in order to do so, please follow all instructions provided in the sequence given.  Do not install/re-install any programs or run any fixes or scanners that you have not been instructed to use.  This may cause conflicts with the tools being used in the cleanup process.

If you have questions regarding any of the instructions or problems running any tools, please let us know.

You have some outdated, vulnerable software on your computer that we will want to address after providing you with some breathing space.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and
    Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, be sure Quick scan is selected, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, EXCEPT items in System Restore as shown in this sample:
  • Click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See the Note below)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Please post contents of that file in your next reply.

** Note **

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

How is your computer now?

Ok.. Heres what happened. I logged into my main user in safemode with networking. I downloaded the malwarebytes program and did a scan.
It found 41 infected files and noe of them were of the type you said to uncheck. So off to quarintine they went. A log was created and it prompted me to restart, which i did. When i relogged in there were some processes stopped in the startup and now i cannot log onto the internet inside of that user profile. I'm no longer getting slammed with box after box of fake error messages but i cannot attach the log to here.
Just a little background.. I know my way around a working computer but when i need to play with things that arent clickable i get a bit lost lol.

Hi, dyrtidieds.

Please let us know what the status is after you get home from work and check the correct profile.

Hi Corrine, Well i went to the correct profile and I am unable to get online even in safe mode. The computer is showing connected to the internet but wont allow me to get in. I did the malwarebytes scan in there before downloading the other files reccomended. Not sure if when i quarintined the infected files i may have screwed up the proxy connections but im not really sure how to reconfigure them. My other user profile is able to connect to the internet without difficulties. Please advise.

Hi, dyrtidieds.

Let's flush your DNS cache and restore the HOSTS file.  Please copy/paste the lines in bold below to Notepad:

@Echo on
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset all
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0

Save as flush.bat to your desktop.
Double-click flush.bat file to run it. Your computer will reboot.

Note:  For Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click flush.bat and select "Run as Administrator".

Let me know if that restores the connection on your primary account.

Please start Internet Explorer and do the following:
  • Click on the Tools menu.
  • Select Internet Options.
  • Click on the Connections tab.
  • Click on the LAN Settings button so you are on the Local Area Network (LAN) settings screen.
  • Under the Proxy Server section, please UNCHECK the checkbox labeled "Use a proxy server for your LAN".
  • Press OK button to close this screen.
  • Press the OK button to close the Internet Options screen.

This should fix the problem with Internet Explorer.

I have internet access on my primary now.
Should I start from the beginning now?

Let's try MBAM again, please.

  • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware then click the Update tab and "Check for Updates
  • Once the update has been installed and the program has loaded, select Quick scan
