Hej!

Windows Live Messenger.
När Windows Live Messenger ska öppnas kommer det upp en ruta där det står:

"För att kunna skicka och ta emot Windows Live Messenger-innehåll måste du ha en nyare version av Adobe Flash Player. När Adobe Flash Player har installerats kanske du måste stänga ned och starta om datorn och starta om Windows Live Messenger. Klicka på Installera om du vill hämta och installera den senaste versionen av Adobe Flash Player."

När jag klickar bort rutan startar Messenger som vanligt, utan problem. Jag har även provat att uppdatera AFP flera gånger från denna rutan men inget händer. Det verkar som om jag inte ens har den installerad på datorn när jag söker efter den, bara licensavtalet som jag har sparat. Mycket märkligt.

Finns det något jag kan göra åt denna mycket irriterande ruta och i så fall vad? Finns AFP installerad på datorn? Måste jag ha den för att kunna använda Messengern på ett optimalt sätt? Jag tycker själv att den fungerar som den ska, även när jag använder camen där igenom. Hur får jag bort rutan som kommer upp vid varje uppstart?




Ad-Aware.
Jag får ju regelbundet mail härifrån Landzdown om att det finns nya uppdateringer till Ad-Aware att hämta. När jag då ska uppdatera kommer det också upp en ruta. Där står det:


”Your Ad-Aware Protection is out of date!

A new version of Ad-Aware is available:
-better protection
-improved detection
-faster & leaner

Update your software today för your peace of mind!
Update later     Update Now”

Jag har aldrig klickat i rutan "Update Now".
Jag tycker nämligen inte att det kan stämma att skyddet från Ad-Aware har gått ut när jag uppdaterar varje gång jag har fått mailet här ifrån.
Hur får jag rätsida på det här nu då? Är det något främmande som gör intrång eller är det jag som inte fattar hur det funkar?

Vill också fråga om det finns något annat konstigt på datorn som man kan lösa, ta bort eller ändra så att datorn fungerar smidigare. Kanske det ska vara i en annan tråd?

11-11-02 körde jag ATF, PSI, Spyware Blaster, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware och AVG.

Kan ni se om det finns något konstigt som gömmer sig någonstans? Hur gör jag för att fixa till det i så fall?

Windows Live Messenger.
When Windows Live Messenger is opened up a box that says:

"To be able to send and receive Windows Live Messenger content, you need a newer version of Adobe Flash Player. When Adobe Flash Player is installed, you may have to shut down and restart the computer and restart Windows Live Messenger. Click Install To download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. "

When I click off the box starts Messenger as usual, without problems. I have also tried to update the AFP several times from this box but nothing happens. It seems that I do not even have it installed on the computer when I search for it, just the license agreement that I have saved. Very strange.

Is there anything I can do about this annoying box, and if so what? Is AFP installed on your computer? Do I need it to use Messenger in an optimal way? I think myself that it works properly, even when I use the CAM through that. How do I remove the box that pops up on every boot?




Ad-Aware.
I will of course regular mail from here Landzdown that there are new updates for Ad-Aware to download. When I shall update will also be a box. It says:

I have never clicked in the "Update Now".
I do not mean that it may be true that the protection from Ad-Aware has gone out when I update every time I have received mail from here.
How can I straighten this now? Is there something strange that is infringing or is it me who do not understand how it works?

Would also ask if there is something else odd on your computer that you can solve, remove or edit so that your computer is working smoothly. Perhaps it should be in another thread?

11-11-02 I ran ATF, PSI, Spyware Blaster, Spybot S & D, Ad-Aware and AVG.

Can you see if there is something strange hiding somewhere? How do I fix it then?

När jag hade öppnat IE och kopierade/klistrade in About Flash Player page från loggen du hade skrivit stog det längst upp på sidan: [an error occurred while processing this directive].
Jag klickade på Player Download Center och gjorde som det stod att jag skulle göra.
När det sedan var färdigt och Adobe Flash Player 11.0.1.152. hade installerats i IE öppnades en ny sida i Firefox med bekräftelsen på att den är installerad (Installationen lyckades Du kör just nu Adobe Flash Player), inte i IE, ska det vara så?

Det står också ”Version Information You have version 11,0,1,152 installed” i Firefox på sidan http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ , men inte i IE. Hur kan det komma sig, har installationen inte lyckats i alla fall i IE? (Rutan visas inte nu längre när jag loggar in på Windows Live Messenger, så det måste ju vara som det ska, eller hur?)

When I had opened IE and copy / paste the About Flash Player page from the log you had written correct stood at the top of the page: [an error occurred while processing this Directive].
I clicked on the Player Download Center, and did as it said that I would do.
When it was finished and the Adobe Flash Player 11.0.1.152. had been installed in IE opened a new page in Firefox with the recognition that it is installed (installation succeeded, you are currently running Adobe Flash Player), not in IE, it be?

It says "Version You Have 11,0,1,152 version installed" in Firefox on page http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, but not in IE. How can it be, the installation failed at least in IE? (The box does not appear anymore when I log into Windows Live Messenger, so it must be correct ,right?)

I hope I did well with Malwarebytes. a-e went well, but then f when I would click "Show Results" was not there, so g-k, I have not done. Is it because it did not find anything harmful?
Furthermore, the font and colors and so on not the same as shown in the thread, it's because the one I downloaded is an update of the program, or has correct been something wrong somewhere?

As to Flash Player, as long as you have the most recent version installed for both IE and Firefox, you should be fine.  Because of the difference between browsers, there are different versions of Flash Player for IE and Firefox.  For future reference:

All I can find from the Lavasoft blog and forums is that the most recent version of Ad-Aware is 9.x.  If that is the version you have installed, then it sounds as though there is a problem with the Ad-Aware update mechanism.  You could try uninstalling it, shutdown/restart and then download a fresh copy to install.  If you have a licensed version, be sure you have your license available.

I wish I could be more help with Ad-Aware but, as I said previously, I have not used it in many years.  If the message continues, and reinstalling does not help, I suggest you post on the Lavasoft forums.

If you are happy with Ad-Aware, that is fine.  It is your computer.  Personally, I prefer Malwarebytes and use the licensed version. 

MBAM is an anti-malware software program.  The people involved in the research and development of MBAM are all well known in the security community.  The free version does not have real-time protection.  However, there is only a one-time fee for the licensed program. 

Actually TFC is newer than ATF.  Atri has not updated ATF in many years.  The primary difference between the two is that TFC cleans only temp files and goes a bit deeper doing that.  TFC does not remove cookies or logon passwords.  Following is more information about TFC:

TFC (Temp File Cleaner) will clear out all temp folders for all user accounts (temp, IE temp, java, FF, Opera, Chrome, Safari), including Administrator, All Users, LocalService, NetworkService, and any other accounts in the user folder. It also cleans out the %systemroot%\temp folder and checks for .tmp files in the %systemdrive% root folder, %systemroot%, and the system32 folder (both 32bit and 64bit on 64bit OSs). It shows the amount removed for each location found (in bytes) and the total removed (in MB).

Before running, it will stop Explorer and all other running applications. When finished, if a reboot is required the user must reboot to finish clearing any in-use temp files.

Depending on how often someone cleans their temp folders, their system hardware, and how many accounts are present, it can take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or more. Yes, you are correct about SecurityCheck and DDS.  SecurityCheck helps pinpoint certain software that may be out of date.  DDS is essentially a replacement for HijackThis, which has not been updated in a long time.

You can certainly use both if you wish.
