??? Ad-Aware 2007

Hi I have Ad-Aware SE Pro been holding off on downloading 2007 till they fix the bugs.Do you
Think its safe to download it yet or should i hold off a little longer?Thank You

I have been running it on my laptop for the past few weeks and and had no problems.  Reason for it being on the laptop is that I run XP Pro on it and Vista on my main computer.

Hi, all.

Bluefire, you are one of the lucky ones then.  I would be cautious if I were you since AAW 2007 has been indicated by Lavasoft as not compatible with Windows Vista.

Old Grouch, the choice is, of course, yours.  Personally, even before upgrading to Windows Vista, I elected to use different anti-spyware software on my computer.  Having seen some of the disastrous results other users have encountered with the latest release, as well as the apparent upheaval in the company, I would think very carefully about making such a decision.  There doesn't appear to be much in the way of staff remaining and the list here doesn't include the new position opened for had of WW Sales with the recently announced CEO change.

Hello Corrine

I am not running it on my Vista machine for the very reason you have pointed out. I use a different anti spy ware programme on it.
I will keep my fingers crossed, but I had renewed my subscription, although I did think twice about it on the XP system after seeing one of your earlier posts.

Hi I dont want vista i have xp and will stay with it.I know Ad-Aware 2007 had alot of bugs just wanted to know if you think they have fixed most of them.So i can download it to my windows xp dont want all the bug problems.Thank You

Sorry mate, but I have no experience with AAW 2007 myself.  I have SE Pro installed on this box, and since it never finds anything (not even a tracking cookie), I've not been motivated to make the change.  It appears that the level of complaints on the Lavasoft forum is no longer on the rise, but I'm not convinced that is a good enough reason to 'upgrade'.

Most of us here won't be providing support for AAW 2007.  Sorry not to be more help.

Thank You winchester73 but you have been a big help now i know what to do keep se pro.Have just one more question when i went to the support center they had a link to update my licenses.So i updated my licenses now i only have a download link for ad-aware 2007.If i had to uninstall/reinstall my se pro how do i get the old version back download link?

Excellent question, not sure I know the answer.  You could try posting a query at the LS support forum, but I'm not sure you'll get any satisfaction.

The only other alternative would be to have someone email you the installation file.
