Some folks were having problems with this C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\aawservice.exe

I'm not sure what it does an why it runs.
You're only as safe as your last update.

I'd like to hear about it and other things too.

I know how they helped Ahmad rip me off for $10k on their behalf. I know how the team turned their backs on me while they did it. I know how they highjacked my own site durring the interim. I know of lots of sleazy acts performed by them and for them(them...perhaps I should say 'her'). But I've never heard anything but bits and pieces about the way they in turn screwed you guys too later on(not that I didn't expect it sooner or later).

Anyone care to actually lay it out for those of us who might be interested.

I can add to this...way back when I was infected by a keylogger, the good people on this forum had me install malwarebytes, which I did. A coupla days later, it was deleted from my computer...re-installed it, coupla days later, disappeared again. 3 times in all. Was recommended I remove AdAware, as it was likely the culprit, and sure enough...(as to uninstalling AdAware, THAT was a whole new drama in itself! Just didn't want to go...)

Regards,
Shax

Shax, I think you're confusing us with another site.  We helped you clean your computer but AAW was not involved.

I remember us helping you clean your computer a year ago, but I have no recollection of what you are saying about MBAM being uninstalled by AAW.  Perhaps I've had too much wine with a bouncing kangaroo on it ...  :hysterical:
