error installing sp3

hi all,
trying to install sp3 on a friends pc and i get this error message:
service pack3 could not backup registry key
HKLM\software\microsoft\main\feature control\feature_imaging_use_art to file C:windows\$ntservicepackuninstall$\reg00161.  5: access denied

im stumped because i never ran into this.

i ran the fixit for me;-) and the install of sp3 went as smooth as glass;-D
