Comodo Firewalls protection
« on: June 27, 2007, 10:11:02 AM »
Hello,

This is my first post in this forum.

Sorry for my bad english.

I don't know if anyone in here have tried it, but if there are, what are your opinion of the firewall?

Easy to use? Hard-core security?

Anything.

I've used it for almost a year now, and my view is that it is one of the best firewalls in the world. Not only because of the leak-protection, but because it guards your system. Even if a virus is installed on your system. Many firewalls only protects the inbound and outbound-internetacces, but Comodo also guards your computer by altering about changes, like a program is trying to launch another one and so on.

Im very curious on the new version 3. But I won't try it in the Alpha or Beta stage.

But what are your view of Comodo Firewall. Views about V3 is also welcome.

Best regards, Tesk  :)

I had seen that list, but I know all to Zonealarm and Kerio, but I never installed Sygate on my computer. But I was more interested in opinions about Comodo Firewall if anyone in here are using the firewall.

Thanks, but you are also a "pro user", but do you think it is easy to use for "normal users"?

I don't think so, but my friends thinks they are secure with windows firewall, so they are not average pc-users.

But isn't ZoneAlarm more User-Friendly? I've using ZoneAlarm for long time, but last year in August I made a shift to Comodo and I now im very happy for my shift.

You and your friends will find it easy to use as I said before I have it installed on my old XP box witch is used by a complete novice when it comes to computers and she can work it just fine witch is a good thing to or my marriage would have been over by now or the dogs would have eaten my food for the last few months  :hysterical:

Warning:  The latest release of Comodo Firewall includes the pre-checked option to install Ask Toolbar.  See http://securitygarden.blogspot.com/2008/05/comodo-disappointment.html

Everything seems to bundle the Ask or Yahoo! Toolbar these days.
Beta. Software undergoes beta testing shortly before it's released. Beta is Latin for 'still doesn't work.'
