According to Brian Krebs, Washington Post:  http://blogs.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2005/11/symantec_to_dit.html

Besides Jetico & Zone Alarm, there are two others -- 8 Signs Firewall and TPF (Tiny Personal Firewall) still free.  I haven't ever used anything besides Zone Alarm so don't know if they pas the GRC test.

i just looked and 8signs is 30 days trial free ;-(
and your tiny link is to 8signs ;-)
so still doing homework and will update

in the process of looking up and getting info on fileseclab i discovered another one

safety.net
http://www.netveda.com/consumer/safetynet.htm

so that should keep me busy for a long time now !

and i will give up my sygate when they pry my dead fingers off the keyboard !!!!
thank you very much symantic, you have killed another great product, and if it resurfaces from you i can guarentee it will be bloated, expensive and no support !

Sunbelt software, in their blog, announced that they are in the process of purchasing the Kerio Personal Firewall - and plan to continue to offer a basic free version.

That bodes very well for some of us who still cling to the obsolete but still very formidable versions of KERIO firewall. Glad to see that SUNBELT has faith in that product enough to continue it and likely improve it beyond what it is already very safely capable at.

Time and again i have held off for the longest periods before trying a new firewall myself. My latest attempt was with COMMODO, another free-firewall where i have seen mixed reviews.

And as always, i have returned yet again to KERIO 2.15!  I'm sure there are others who find excellent capabilities with the more popular to the more expensive, but i yet to run across another that performs with such precision and perfection with 100% stability as found with the old Kerio.

When and if i do, i'll be the first to make my own change known along with the reasons. In the meantime KERIO remains CHAMPION on ALL my units.
