ZoneAlarm & Mailsafe?
« on: April 21, 2006, 08:52:36 PM »
First off, I use ZoneAlarm Pro. I looked into ZoneAlarms Mailsafe email protection and it says it protects IMAP and POP3 connections, well I dont know anything about protocals and also dont use Outlook Express or Thunderbird, I only use online email such as mail.yahoo.com and Im wise about opening emails and no one emails me anyways! so I was wondering if Mailsafe protected users from executable files in online email or if it just helped outlook express?? If it only helped Outlook I would like to be able to turn the option off worry free... :firefox:

komkast,
Zone Alarm's Mailsafe only works with POP3 and IMAP unfortunately it does not scan WEB-BASED ie:Yahoo/Hotmail accounts.
If you do not have a POP3 but want one there are free ones avaiable that you can use ie: Bluebottle

press Enter then have a Brandy then if the problem is still there have another Brandy
Q: does it work
A: It does seem to for a few hours at least.
