Spotted at CoU that Avira is now including Uniblue advertisements(
Installers Hall of Shame (Unwanted add-on) - Calendar Of Updates - Page 19
). The post at CoU links to these topics:
[Off-topic] Uniblue scareware ads (hello Uniblue, goodbye Avira)
and
UNIBLUE REGISTRY BOOSTER Complaints - Deceptive Advertising and Sales Practice
Even paid customers are seeing Uniblue ads:
[Off-topic] Registry Booster 2011 email from Avira - AntiVir Premium and Avira Premium Security Suite - Avira Support Forum
Uniblue proudly displays the Microsoft Partner log. Don't ever let that give the impression that a vendor has any close relationship with Microsoft. There is no vetting to become a registered Microsoft partner. All it means is that the company employs the requisite number of certified professionals and has completed the registration process, nothing more.
