Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon on internet explorer, my search engine is google.  I had no problems until I started searching music sites for dance compilation albums.  When I clicked on the first search link that came up, another window opened up stating that spyware had been located and seemed to be undertaking a scan of my computer.  It stated that trojan viruses had been located with various dates, some dating back to last year.  Then another window opened asking if i wanted to remove all infections, and when I clicked on "remove all" another window came up with a programme that needed running, but every time I clicked to cancel this download it kept taking me back to the window to "remove all" and it would not let me close that window.  In the end I closed my computer down my pressing the power button.

When i turned it back I ran a full scan through AVG, which I have on my laptop.  The scan picked up no infections.  I then downloaded Ad Awarr through Lavasoft; but this took a long time to upload and update.  Once the upload had finished my laptop automatically shut down and restarted; but then kept crashing.  I tried to turn it on several times but it kept crashing.

I have managed to turn on my laptop today and it has not crashed.  Can you help me?
