Those that know me from around here probably remember that for the last three years I've walked in the Seattle AIDS Walk to help raise money for those living with HIV and AIDS.  This year is no exception, and to help even more, I'm a co-captain of Team Microsoft this year.

Previously, I would match everyone's contributions up to a certain dollar amount, and then Microsoft would match what I give.  This year, I'm stepping up to the plate right now and I donated $1,000, which Microsoft is matching, towards this year's walk.  My goal is $2,500, meaning there's $500 to go and I'm hoping for your support in making my goal.  Here's my donation page:

Every bit helps - $5 provides two meals, $35 a week's worth, $140 provides an entire month.  Even if you're not able to give, a quick post showing your support really means a lot to me.  My thanks for all your help over the past three years, and thank you again for giving this year.

Good luck and I hope you raise more than you did last year.

A: It does seem to for a few hours at least.

My thanks to everyone :)

The new site they're using doesn't allow for processing my company matching until they actually receive the check, so I look low, but there's another $1,000 on top of the $1,275 I raised so far.

Perhaps this would be interesting - the other Team Microsoft captain and I went to their offices and had a quick walkthrough of the Chicken Soup Brigade, which is the part of Lifelong that prepares meals and groceries and also delivers them.  We took video if you'd like to see just one of the many things your sponsorships help provide.  Here's the link:

The other team captain won't be at the walk, meaning I'll be doing check-ins, greeting walkers and such, but I'll try to get some pictures of course.

And I wouldn't be a good walker if I didn't plug my sponsor page at http://seattleaidswalk2010.kintera.org/aaronhulett before clicking Post. ;)

This year, Aaron, we aren't waiting for you to create a banner since you always leave it to the last minute.  Instead, all you need to do is print it and tape it together.

I wasn't that hard on you in IRC (although don't forget the hint in FB too).  Expecting pictures!

Well I was kind of doing captain-related stuff, but I'm going to try and get some pictures from others.  But, I did manage to get this one:

Thank you again everyone!

That works!

Guess I should have given you a larger bouquet of roses from your LzD family.  That image is a bit small.  I'll have to make up for it next year. :rose:
