connected to the internet but no internet access

I have to restart my wireless router, and computer several times before I can get my connection to work. This is getting sooooooooo frustrating! I read that this may be a registry thing? Can you let me know if you have heard anything about this and what I can do?

Some times there is a need to reboot a router it is as if it builds up of static and unplugging it for five minuets then coupling it back up always seems to work for me.

A: It does seem to for a few hours at least.
