BRYNN,
you're using
INTERNET EXPLORER -- and you don't see a FRAME of sponsored ADS, on the far right side of the GEOCITIES pages???
* THIS is a text-based advert written as a regular HTML LINK:
BUY OUR CRUMMY PRODUCTS(and, maybe there's text underneath.)
i just made up the domain "somecrummyad.com" to post the link -- and when i add it to FF ADBLOCK etc., the link still appears.
* "frames" or "i-frames" are different.
you literally see content separated from the regular stuff with a FRAME. (there's a vertical BOX "frame" on the right of the geocities pages, that i've NEVER been able to get rid of, in Int Explorer. i have Iframes disabled my ie Web Content Zones also.)
* the GEOCITIES frames are generated with javascript -- OPERA doesn't see them AT ALL, FIREFOX won't see them, if i block javascript -- BUT, NOTHING i do in IE, stops 'em from showing.
- i wonder if your Kerio firewall is blocking them.
if you disabled that kerio ad-blocker, and STILL didn't see the geocities frames. well, i'd be VERY interested in your settings.
(CONFUSING: blocking i-frames in Zones should stop me from seeing them. i have no idea why it doesn't work.)
* anyway, i scoured the source code, and this seems to be the link for the GEOCITIES ads:
http://themis.geocities.yahoo.com/themis/h.phpDO YOU SEE ADS WHEN YOU CLICK THE LINK...?
i don't in FF, but i do in IE.
...strange.
i must have Ghost Zombies in my computer, only explanation.
