ID Vault
« on: October 14, 2007, 08:22:13 PM »
anyone have any comments?
a friend of mine who is retired asked me about ID Vault:
"I do quite a bit of accessing bank account, credit card account and investment sites on line and this sounds like an added level of security for such things".
ive never heard of it so any advice would be appreciated.

I've not heard of it either.

Is this it? http://www.guardidsystems.com/idvault/howdoesitwork.php

If it is, there are a few reviews, but maybe more helpful, are the comments listed in responses attached to the reviews.

The product is listed twice at Amazon, also with "mixed" comments.  It seems there are question/statements from users concerning limits on OS, browsers, and maybe certain credit card cos. Also, it appears to require installation of software (drivers) if you travel...

Approx. $50 & $20 annual renewal fee?

Frys.com has it listed twice too.  One says XP, and one says XP & Vista including use w/ Fx.

More than likely, you are wanting feedback on the security effectiveness...I couldn't venture a guess.

Your welcome Ghost

It's difficult to provide feedback on a product you haven't used...hopefully the comments that were left with the product reviews were helpful.  Maybe the person that purchased it will let us know how it is working for them.
