it appears http://www.microsoft.com is down.
it resolves in dns to  207.46.197.32 but in ie and ff responds, cannot display.

i think it had to do with their silverlight promotion.
ppl are being redirected or asked to download silverlight (i didn't, for some strange reason...)
so i think ms was either finishing setting up the redirection, or their redirection was generating more traffic than their server farms could handle...
