Looks pretty complicated to me!  I just resigned myself to being "cableless" and sat in my car to charge my cell phone (after the storm had finally passed).

I agree, mamabear.  It certainly isn't anything I'd attempt or even consider -- and that was just one of the things that young man did in preparation.  I guess it just goes to show the difference between a techie on overload and normal people.  ;)

Thanks for the update! We have family in the Burke area of VA. I'm glad every one is ok. That was close!

I like that fellas set up. I wonder if he is related to my neighbor? He turns techno guru every time we have a storm and lose power. A real "Tim the toolman Taylor" if you know what I mean.
