National Coming Out Day 2008

This year marks (in the United States anyway) the 20th National Coming Out Day, observed in the US on 11 October.  It's an internationally observed day where those in the LGBT community can kind of stand back and discuss current issues as well as provide an invitation for those in the closet to come out.  You can read more about it here at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Coming_Out_Day

I'm not sure if there's anyone else here at LandzDown in the LGBT community or an ally, but if you are, happy National Coming Out Day. :)

Aaron I have a real good friend who has a fabulous website you might enjoy. He is an amazing person and does a ton of stuff/events and he puts a lot of the pictures on his site.  You may know him or have heard of him  he is pretty well known in the community. His stage name is NucliaWaste his real name is David.  Check out his site he has great pictures!

I see he was in Detroit in 2004, but I wasn't out then, so don't know him and haven't see him perform.  Even here in Seattle, I've only been to a couple things, mainly the True Colors tour HRC did along with the Seattle AIDS Walk and Dining Out for Life things done by Lifelong AIDS Alliance.  I've been told there's a decent show at Julia's on Broadway but I haven't gone.

I'll try to keep an eye out in the SGN paper's events list in case he has a Seattle visit.  Although usually some of my friends tune me in to events so chances are they'll know before I do. ;)

And yes Corrine, not the best image lol.  But don't worry.
