Hi everyone,

If you remember last year, Lifelong AIDS Alliance (LLAA) held their annual Seattle AIDS Walk which I walked in. This year is not different with LLAA holding their 22nd Annual Seattle AIDS Walk on 4 October. For those that don't know what this is, I’m walking at this event to support LLAA's efforts and I’m looking for sponsors to help me help those living with HIV/AIDS in Seattle and King County receive food, insurance, assisted care, and other important services. Last year our contributions lead to over US$1,600 going to help those with HIV/AIDS, for which I cannot thank you all enough, especially given I learned earlier in the year one of my good friends is positive. Walking meant a lot to me last year, it means even more to me this year.

With the $125 in sponsorships I have, and the $125 I matched just now, and the $125 Microsoft will match, we're at $375, 25% to our goal of $1,500 total! About and month and a half to go... we're well on our way to shattering last year's amount of $1,605.

But Aaron lives even more time zones West of me, or, if I go East, yesterday! Does that mean I knew about Aaron participating before he posted? Should I go and but a lottery ticket? I'm confused

LOL, we're walking a mile. Right now, when I take the bus to work I walk 1.7 miles (1 mile to get on the bus, 0.7 miles once I get off the bus). I guess that's my training - and it's working, I can walk that mile in 15 minutes now (I walk 4 miles an hour LOL).
