Author Topic: Seattle AIDS Walk 2009 - I'm ready to walk! (Read 2206 times)

September brings back the rain, but it's a perfect time to have a walk about town.

On Saturday the 26th, a little under 3 weeks from now, Lifelong AIDS Alliance hosts its annual Seattle AIDS Walk, which I walked in the last two years. And just like the last few years, I'm again matching donations, up to the first $750, which Microsoft will then match.

And to have a bit of fun, rather than the first person getting their name on the sign, I'll wait two weeks (until Saturday the 19th - a week before), put everyone's name in a random list and then use a random number generator (likely an online one) to choose.

As always, thank you for helping me help those with HIV/AIDS. And for those that remember how short the walk was the last few years, this year, it's longer.

I've matched everything through so far, and unbelievably, just a few days in, $655 from everyone plus $655 from me and $655 from Microsoft means $1,965 for LLAA!

And while there's still lots of time to go, I'm currently 4th in the top walkers list, and Microsoft in 6th of the top teams list.

Again my thanks to everyone that contributed, and for those that aren't able to, know that I'm glad you're thinking of me and my passion in helping those living with HIV/AIDS.
