Web News / Re: Net neutrality is dead
« Last post by JDBush61 on Today at 02:27:46 AM »
It is very important that the US government is not allowed to regulate the Net. No regulation needed. Obama, George Soros, and the NWO globalists want to censor the Net. Why did Obama push to have ICANN given away to the private sector? Think about it. It's all part of the globalist plan to kill the 1st Amendment and shut down conservative discourse. The 1st Amendment is SUPER important. That is, unless you hate the US Constitution and want to give away the Net to the UN, Google, FB, and other globalist Twits.

My opinion? Spit out everything that George Soros and the Silicon-Valley NWO leftists are shoving down your throat. If you don't, you will soon be suffering the regulations and thought police that have now destroyed Europe and the UK. Think clearly! The Net should never be regulated by the FCC, nor given away for free to the hands of the NWO globalists. Keep it free and open!

"On October 1, 2016 ICANN ended its contract with the United States Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and entered the private sector."

Ted Cruz fighting hard in Congress to not give away ICANN, which is aimed at killing free speech. Listen closely! Read the comments. Be wise.

Thank God that the Soros/Obama/Globalist fake net neutrality was taken down!

Again, just my opinion. Your opinion might differ. Have a nice day.

Not really much else too say except we aren't winners here.

I think the writing has been on the wall for some time now. The program's usefulness has diminished in recent years. I cannot remember the last time I recommended someone get it.

v_v, good to see you again.

That's a lot of hardware!

Today I'm taking two, still working, Surfboard modems to BestBuy to e-cycle. Comcast won't allow DOCSIS 2 modems after 18th January 2018 so those modems can't even be used as backup in case my new modem goes down.

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an Angel fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

Just tonight I took 11 computers and 4 monitors to the local Goodwill that does recycling.  There were several 80286, 80386, and 80486 chip machines in that mix, along with an old 8086 by Texas Instruments (this one had two full size 5 1/4 inch floppies!).  The monitors were mostly 14 inch models.  I think that most of these items long preceded Freedomlist and also the internet as we currently know it.

Even still I have an AT&T 6300 (circa 1985) laying around.
