The purpose of this board is to disseminate information that should be acted upon as soon as possible. In particular, we would like to see here details of new "zero day" exploits and vulnerabilities likely to impact the average computer user, especially those where a vendor solution is not yet available. Information is gathered from various security sources including International CERT organisations and reputable security websites and discussion of issues is welcomed.
To prevent the promulgation of hoaxes it will be a requirement that any announcements posted here includes a link to the source of the information. Software updates, particularly those for security related tools and applications, will continue to be posted in the
Software Updates forum.
