Note: I strongly recommend waiting until you are offered SP1 in Windows Update. Not only will the Windows Update download be smaller, it will not be offered before you have installed any prerequisites needed.
If you installed any of the pre-release versions of SP1, uninstall them before installing the final release version of SP1.
Although I have not heard of issues with the SP installation, it is recommended that you backup any important files before installing the Service Pack.
If you are using a laptop, be sure to be plugged in to an electrical outlet.
