When I move, and the computer is off for awhile and we get  into the new house, I plug my computer up turn it on, and i cant do ANYTHING! the mouse moves, i can boot in safe mode but its the same thing going on, if i try to type the keyboard stops working and i have to turn it off and back on to get it to work. I cant open anything. somehow I managed to move my task manager to the desktop and open it but I shut down everything I could and its still going so thats not working,. I have no idea whats going on. I cant run my virus scanner nor can i search to download and run another one cause i cant type on it. HELP ME PLEASE! my hubby is gonna completely erase everything on it if i dont fix it because ive been on his computer lol and i dont want to lose all my pictures and sims data and word files i can never get back all that stuff and i cant save it cause i cant do anything with the computer help?!?! :sos:

Hi, kaylalee888.  Welcome to LandzDown Forum.

Is your computer a desktop or laptop and do you have an external keyboard and another mouse you can try using to see if they work?  If you are unable to maneuver on the computer it will prove difficult for you to perform the tasks we would need for you to do in order tackle any infection on your computer.

That said, a member of the security community has compiled excellent instructions to save some files/folders before either reloading the OS or purchasing a new computer when dealing with a machine with a corrupt OS.

Please let us know if a different keyboard/mouse help the situation or if you would like assistance attempting to save the files on your computer before your husband formats it.
