Hi, Mike.

Other than the question about McAfee, your log looks fine.  Please do the following:

Please do the following to implement cleanup procedures an also to reset System Restore points:

Note:  If you use AVG, please exit via System Tray. and then open the AVG 8 Control Center, by right-clicking on the AVG 8 icon on task bar.
  • Click on Tools.
  • Select Advanced Settings.
  • In the left hand pane, scroll down to "Resident Shield".
  • In the main pane, deselect the option to "Enable Resident Shield."
  • To re-enable AVG 8, please select "Enable Resident Shield" again.

Click Start > Run and Copy/Paste the following bolded text into the Run box and click OK:  ComboFix /u

Note: In the event you wish to contribute to the ongoing development of ComboFix, the developer is accepting donations via PayPal.

Hi Corrine,

I did have an old version of TrendMicro antivirus installed on my machine.  I think it was a throw-in along with the computer when I bought it.  It did have an expired license, and I uninstalled it, but I do still have McAfee antivirus on my machine.  McAfee is still under license.

I also ran ComboFix again using the bolded text. Let me know if you would like me to post the log file.

Hi, Mike.  The last instructions for ComboFix would have uninstalled it for you and reset your system restore points.
