Those things you read were just stories that just led to an add for a product that cleans ones system and prevents any such thing from happening again.

Most of those products that are heavily advertised are not worth the time to install them.
...but as a lot of good honest people find out, after spending good money for a product that was advertised well....
Good enough to catch their eye and keep their intrest all the way to the "Enter Your Credit Card # Here" page... that the software they just purchased was not only worthless, but some even go as far as to install the only objects that they remove....if that...

I did this..... (last week)
ROFLMAO.....
I had a trojan in a machine that a person brought me to clean out...
Well, I did that...
I, being an IDIOT, do things the hard way and remove all I can by hand...
In the process of doing this the previously infected machine was hooked to my internet connection to download some tools I needed.
......all was good until I had this great idea to save time I would burn the tools to disk along with some infected files that I kept to mess with...
I then proceeded to copy the Tools, Crap, and coffee stains from that CD and without thought....Sure enough I infected me own box.... oh, did I mention that I had that box on a netwerk
