We'll be upgrading to the latest version of the forum software to version 2.
It's a big leap from version 1 and it has a lot more features, and will look a little different.
This will mean:
- The site will go offline sometime around 7pm BST time. Hopefully, it won't be for very long as most upgrades are relatively quick and painless. (Famous last words)
- Some themes, with the exception of the current default forum theme, will be removed, due to not being supported for SMF 2, by their authors for the foreseeable future. Anybody who uses a different theme will be reset to the default, and then I can try and find a suitable alternative theme if you want to. Very few people are using different themes.
- Some bugs/problems may appear. Hopefully very minor or none at all will arise, but alas there is a chance things will break.
- Some of the modifications to the forum will be removed to begin with, whilst I hunt for their upgraded versions.
