Malwarebytes & Microsoft Security Essentials
« on: September 09, 2017, 02:58:26 PM »
I run Malwarebytes 3.1.2. I also run Microsoft Security Essentials 4.10.209.0.
I had to turn off Web Protection in Malwarebytes as I suddenly took MANY minutes for "Resolve DNS" to complete in Chrome.  This also occurred after running CCleaner. TWEAKING.COM helped with the repair, I think.
Has anyone else run into this conflict?  I also unchecked Chrome Cookies in CCleaner.
Cookies cleanup is another issue I have.
I run Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

No and I had both running on four Windows 7 computers. I've since upgraded to MBAM 3.2.2

Note: The Pro version of 7 is on a 32 bit computer; the 64 bit computers are running Home Premium. I also do not have Chrome installed on any Windows computer.

No, but there was a problem with MSE going back into August where it kept trying to install 'Definition Update for Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (Definition 1.249.211.0)' every day. To get round it I hid it next time it showed up and have had no problems since.
