SpywareBlaster Updates
« on: March 13, 2013, 12:32:30 PM »
SpywareBlaster can help keep your system secure.  It does not have to remain running in the background and works alongside the programs you have to help secure your system in the following ways:
  •   Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware and other potentially unwanted programs.
  •   Block spying / tracking via cookies.
  •   Restrict the actions of potentially unwanted or dangerous web sites.
SpywareBlaster provides protection for:

Internet Explorer (and browsers that use the IE engine)
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Netscape
Seamonkey
Pale Moon
K-Meleon

When a new version is released you can either:
(a) Download and install the new version of SpywareBlaster "over-the-top".
(b) Uninstall the old version of SpywareBlaster first, and then install a fresh copy of the new version.

Download the latest version here: http://www.brightfort.com/spywareblaster.html

System Requirements:  SpywareBlaster works on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10. (32/64-bit)

Tip:  via siljaline, if you use a HOSTS file, see MVPS Hosts

Note that running SpywareBlaster sets the IE Restricted Zone to a non default setting. Reset to defaults - *HIGH* after every run.

I wish it was more specific about what "Enhanced Windows 10 Support" really means.
