Running multiple anti-spyware....Help decide?
« on: December 03, 2005, 08:21:42 AM »
I have been reading the thread on running multiple antispyware with background guard/monitors. I have Microsoft antispyware Beta 1, WinPatrol 9.8, Mikelin's Startup monitor. Is it right to have these three enabled to monitor what goes on at the same time. I have ewido, Spybot S&D 1.4, I use these for just scanning. I also have Spyware Guard on and Spyware Blaster [this one I think does not monitor in the background] Thanks.  :?

adds a long list of sites and domains associated with known advertisers, marketers, and crapware pushers to the Restricted sites zone of Internet Explorer. Once you merge this list of sites and domains into the Registry, the web sites for these companies will not be able to use cookies, ActiveX controls, Java applets, or scripting to compromise your privacy or your PC while you surf the Net. Nor will they be able to use your browser to push unwanted pop-ups, cookies, or auto-installing programs on your PC.

Q: does it work
A: It does seem to for a few hours at least.
