Have a favorite reference site (other than Mitch's Phantom Phixer)?  This is the place to share it.

Sometimes it pays to begin with the "Obvious" but how often do we overlook the obvious? ...

For general Windows information, a good Microsoft site to start at is :-

"The Windows Family Homepage" >>> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/default.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/default.mspx)

There are many good links, tips and "freebies" on that site.

or ...

If you are looking for something more "meaty",  like full documentation for XP Professional, try this:-

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/hs_exploring_windows.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/hs_exploring_windows.mspx)

A veritable mine of information:

http://www.niscc.gov.uk/niscc/index-en.html

It is the site of the UK Government CERT so I may be a little biased toward it. Whilst primarily aimed at indistry it contains valuable information for the home user.  8)
