« on: May 24, 2009, 01:23:42 AM »
:sos:  Hi...i am lilchumbe and i have a huge problem.
For 3 days i've been looking for an online game...
i downloaded then deleted so much stuff during those days..
i woke up this morninng and there was some security scan going on
that said i have 38 infections..it then says that it is dangerous to leave the viruses.
i click on where it says remove infections and it takes me to site where i hhave to pay lots of money.
so i chose to continue unprotected and now my computer is going baddd. example::
slows my internet, doesnt let me open anything except internet.
I tried to go and download a virus program that scans and gets rid of viruses for free. i downloaded it but nothing opened..
i really need someones help..plz suggest something...my computer is just gone crazy.. :sos: :sos:

Whoa...slow down.  First of all someone will get to you soon.  But you should get to a working computer and load these to disc, then get back to your computer and install them and run them and post the log files here.
www.atribune.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid  Run this cleaner then restart computer, then
Install and run these and post the log files:

 www.malwarebytes.org/
And this is a free AntiVirus program that rates right up there.
www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

Then just sit back and be patient, as you will soon be in good care!

Try this,
1.   Restart your computer.
2.   When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu.
3.   Select the option for Safe Mode With Networking using the arrow keys.
4.   Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode With Networking. Your Virus Software will not scan in this mode so only go to the Malwarebytes link below.
5.   Do whatever tasks you require---> See if you can download Malwarebytes and run it if you can and when you are done reboot to boot back into normal mode.

Instructions for running Malwarebytes:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop from here Malwarebytes.org
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
•   Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
•   If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
•   Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
•   The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
•   When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
•   Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
•   When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
•   The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
•   Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

You're only as safe as your last update.

Do you see an AntiVirus 2009 icon in the system tray at the lower right corner of your screen?

Before you run Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, please do this:

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

If it's not too much trouble, please post the MBAM and RSIT logs.
