Acer 6920 laptop - one month out of warranty

 "When I turn on my Acer 6920 laptop, my initial screen is full of pastel colored bars. I tried my recovery disk which did not help. Can you tell me what is wrong? A friend thought maybe it is my video card."

Welcome to Landzdown. Do you see the same problem when the laptop is connected to an external monitor (on the external monitor's display)?

 I do have a monitor somewhere, will find it tomorrow and see if there is a difference and let you know. Thank you for your reply.
