an EXE question
« on: December 27, 2005, 03:53:29 AM »
 :rose:
ok... i just downloaded spyware guard.
i get the spywareguardsetup.exe file -- i click -- it installs, etc etc.
*** NOW...
i end up with everything in it's right place, app runs etc.
and i'm left with the ORIGINAL SPYWAREGUARDSETUP.EXE file.
so................
i toss it into a FOLDER i have, that's FILLED with all these old exe files -- filezille.exe, a folder with spybotsd13.exe, etc.
 :rose:
QUESTION:
CAN I DELETE THESE DARN THINGS?
i think "yes" -- that they've already extracted and set-up, but i'm never sure, so i save 'em.
I HAVE MILLIONS!
** if anybody knows...

should be able to i would think
now a hint

if you take that *.exe and right click and select "rename" and call it *.exee  and you saw the warning message about that program might not run and agreed. then ran spywareguard and it ran you could delet the *.exee
;-)

if not you could just rename it back and all would be forgiven ;-)

NOTE after i get several downloads i will burn them to a cd and KEEP them in case i have to re-install the program
