I thought I'd give the F.B. Purity app a try to see if it would help facebook load faster.
Bad idea.
Once I installed the app and enabled it, I could not load the FB page in Edge browser. Also, I could no longer open the Windows start panel. Although right-click opened the menu, none of the links were operational, so I could not get to settings or anywhere else to uninstall the app.
After a restart, I was able to use the start menu again and uninstall the app.
I've since found that I may have been able to uninstall the app using the File > New task function in Task Manager, which still was operational as I used it to kill Edge, which was still running after I closed the window.
However, I just wanted to ask if this is something that has happened to others, is it an expected app malfunction, or am I "special" ?
