is Apple really less prone to bugs?
« on: November 12, 2012, 11:50:13 AM »
I had recently heard that Apple computers are 'unable to get bugs/virus.
I then asked at another forum, who replied that even Apple is starting to get virus, but at a lesser rate.
Because I am not a 'techy'(this means I repeatedly get into jams that I don't know what I am doing or how to fix with computer) kind of person, would it make sense, or be safer for me to save $ for a small laptop. (due to a back injury I would have to get the smaller/lightweight laptop- I could get the 13").
Thank you.

Hi, ilmbg.

Yes, Macintosh operating systems can and indeed do get viruses.  Macintosh is also a completely different operating system from Windows so operations are done differently.
