Set space to 2048 that would be a 2GB persistence folder. With your large stick, you could even use 4096 which is 4GB. I hope you didn't burn it with only 6 MB. If you did, you'll have no persistence and changes won't be saved.

I tried to boot the 64 stick I made and the computer didn't see it. No surprise there.

I can't make the 32 bit stick because 3 computers are ill. There was a bad update for Malwarebytes and RAM usage is up ay 97%. I can't do anything. MBAM won't even let me turn it off. Web Protection is disabled and can't be turned on. All it odes is eat RAM until a computer freezes or crashes.

I won't be able to work today. Next step - wait for MBAM to fix problems.

I guess you'll have to follow the instructions for Palemoon. I've never done anything like that.

so you mean persist it to 4096MB or smaller than the 6MB --KB?

6MB is way smaller than 4096 MB which is equal to 4GB! Because I grabbed 8GB sticks to make my live Mint sticks, I made my persistence 2048 MB which is 2GB.

I'm posting from Firefox in linux mint now.

I made the 32 bit stick, put it in the XP computer this morning and booted up.
I let the default remain as the choice to boot from all the options. It is highlighlighted so you simply press enter.

When it loads, there is no username and password asked for. If you get that, you are either selecting the wrong item to boot or the stick was not burned correctly or the download was corrupt.

There are 3 icons on the desktop: Computer, Mint Home and Install. Don't hit Install. You don't want to install linux on the XP computer. You want XP to be usable.

You can launch FF in 2 ways: the quick launch icon on the left side of the bottom bar are click menu and when it opens on the right side for Favorites, it is listed as Web Browser.

I won't stay in Mint long. I'm having trouble seeing. It is small and I had cataract surgery in 1 eye and will get it in the other eye on Tuesday. I had drops put in both eyes this morning so all of that combines to make it harder for me to see.

When I come back to see if you have any more questions, I will be in Windows 7.

I wanted to see if I could figure out how to add Palemoon. Sorry but that is above my pay grade.
I've only untarred (think about extracting or unzipping) files in an installed linux distro. I have no clue how it would work in a live version.

There was a green download now button on the page I looked at. Unfortunately it had nothing to do with Palemoon, it was an add for a Windows program.

Next I'll stumble around and see if I can get the time changed to local time rather than Universal time.

Correcting the time: Click on Menu and select Control Center. The first section is labeled Administration. The last ite, is Time and Date. Click on it.
When you click on the top item, a drop down box appears. The time currently showing is Africa. If you move the mouse to the down arrow, eventually you will get lots of listings for America. I had to stop and start by moving the cursor off the arrow otherwise it scrolled too fast. Eventually, I selected America/New York because I am in the Eastern time Zone. My clock now shows the correct time and the changes should be saved so the next time the stick is booted up, NY time will be showing.
