Title: Mess inside websites
Post by: DR M on July 29, 2015, 01:34:01 PM
Well, perhaps I finally broke it. I don't know what is happening.

These is today's news:

Every time I enter a website with photos and some graphics (I think), the page is in a mess, until I click on refresh button. Also, the pages load very very slow. The problem did not exist yesterday.

I attach two examples, for only these two web pages:
http://www.kathimerini.com.cy/index.php (first attachment)
http://www.24sports.com.cy/ (second attachment)

What browser and have you tried other browsers?

If me, I would run Windows Disk Cleanup or CCleaner to delete all cookies and temp Internet files and try again.

It's Pale Moon again... I ran Windows Cleanup, but nothing changed.

I quit...

With IE images look ok. I don't use any other browser. PM and IE.

What happens if you re-check the option to use Hardware Acceleration?

I'm running PM 25.6.0 on Win 7 Home Prem 32 bit and the sites load fine for me.
I can't blame PM as the problem.
You need to look at a) your addons b) your noscript settings c) your AdBlock Latitude filters and d) Tools then Options in Palemoon itself.

To rule out an addon, run PM with no addons then go to the sites. If they appear fine, start enabling addons one at a time until a site breaks.

I have already check this. Nothing happens. Now LzD had a light pink color on the top. I had to close PM and re-open to get it as is.

I disabled all plug-ins. The same.

I disabled Latitude. The same.

What's noscript settings?

NoScript is an add-on so don't worry if you don't have it installed.

I uninstalled and reinstalled PM, but nothing changed. Meanwhile, there were some Windows updates in the morning. Could they cause the problem?

I don't know if this will mess the whole thing more, but doing it, the problem is solved !!!

about:config

metwork.http.pipelining   CHANGE TRUE TO FALSE

Now, every page loads properly! (Please, tell me if this solution is not really a solution and it's going to harm the computer)

EXCEPT SOMETHING HERE: The B (icon for bold), is replaced by I am stupid emoticon!!!!

OK!!! I UNDERSTAND!!!  :tease:
BUT WHY?????

This should be network rather than metwork?

Someone on another forum is having unexplained PM crashes so I want to offer this suggestion as a possible fix.

Of course! It's network! The pages are load just fine. Except the Bold-I'm stupid button! But perhaps, this is only for me.

P.S. I will wait for someone to confirm that this is not going to cause other problems.

I have to say, it might just be you.

Yes, the same thing and today.

All the websites are loading fine, after the change I did yesterday, but the bold button here, is shown as the I'M STUPID button. It sounds like a joke.  :stupid:

P.S. As for the other problem (Pale Moon suddenly disappearing or crushing), everything seems to be ok after I disabled H.A.

I tried the same thing in an another computer:

about:config
network.http.pipelining

The B (bold) button in LzD changed to I'm stupid button.

BUT! Just now I noticed that the original B returned!

I'm not stupid anymore!!!

That is a relief!  We couldn't have our recent university graduate being stupid.  :D

Thanks, Corrine.

(Although, the event of graduation on the 18th of June will always make me feel really stupid.)
