As for images to post, perhaps the ones referenced earlier that you couldn’t because you only had a flip phone? Hence the suggestion about the snipping tool option, an easy way to upload pictures via the “Attachments and other options” button at the bottom of the post reply box.

The pages are clearly trying to promote the sale of some driver fixing software (Driver Talent) but some of the possible fixes do not require their software, and there appears to be some decent explanatory information in the first link as to the 'why' of the problem.

From the second page link it also appears that your usb adapter potential solution should fix the problem too (Way 6).

I also found a couple of informative videos at " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofzUtvfemzg " and " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJG42GuzI48 ".  The first one is quite old (2015) but it picks up on the theme in the first web page link above about installed vpn software being a problem with Windows 10 updates.  The second video presents numerous possible solutions with the last one being a restore.  I cannot vouch for any of the solutions or thoughts presented but they do seem to make it clear your problem has been experienced by others.

As to Winchester's repeated suggestion about posting pictures or images, surely some of the questions he asked in earlier posts could be answered with pictures.  Also if you go through the two videos above there are some pages in the video which if you posted the images of those pages from your computer, it would be very helpful.  These pages would be like the "Network & Internet" page, the change adapter options page, the network and sharing page center page, etc.  Again, these images would help us to see what you see and therefore to better assist.

You can turn off Windows Updates ability to update drivers. I recommend it. One should get drivers, only from the manufacturer of said hardware.

Those driver update programs can cause more trouble than they help.

Hit start, type device installation, change device Installation Settings should show and you click this. Choose No.  The sentence in parentheses is not true.


Hopefully this will prevent these issues in the future. You will  have to check the setting periodically as it will reset after every major feature update.
