Let's check the service is running ...
Start > type
Services and click on the Services app that appears. In the Services window, scroll down to find the WLAN AutoConfig service.

Is the status 'running' and the startup 'automatic'?
If not, right click and select Properties. Under General, select Automatic as startup type, and then click Start. Hit Apply then OK.

If no joy, let's check the driver ...
Start > Menu, type
Device Manager and click on the Device Manager/Control Panel that shows up. Go down to Network Adapters, and expand to reveal the list. Locate your Wireless card, right-click and open up Properties. Switch to the Driver tab and note your driver details in case you have to see if there is an update on the manufacturer website. Go back to the Wireless Card, right click and select ‘Update driver’.
