First, there isn't/shouldn't be a charge for updating drivers.  Second, how do you know drivers need updating?  Driver updates are automatically included in Windows Update.  However, you can check manually if any drivers need updating.  See Update drivers in Windows 10 for instructions.  You can also go to HP Technical Support, Help, and Troubleshooting | HP® Customer Support, fill in the requested information and check for driver updates.

Error 80070005 corresponds to access problem 'ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED'. This indicates there are insufficient permissions to modifying system settings and resources but generally applies to Windows Update.

1.  Have Windows Updates been installing?

2.  What version of Windows 10 is installed?  If you don't know, click the Windows icon and then click the Settings button (it looks something like a cog wheel) or type "Settings" in the Search box and select it from there.  Next, select "System "and scroll to the bottom.  Click "About".  Scroll down to "Windows Specifications" and the Edition, Version and Build are listed there. Provide that information in your next reply.

1703 is the Creators Update released in April.

The most current version of Windows 10 is 1709, released in October.

Is there a reason you never updated?

Cross-posted with winchester73.  :)

Windows has been installing ok
Version 1703
build 15063,786
With that build, yes, you have the December 12, 2017, updates.  However, you are behind.  Has the Fall Creators Update (Version 1709) been offered to you?  See what the Support Assistant indicates and let us know.

I did use that HP support Fall creators update and it seems to work better now.
I updated KB4055237- KB4055994 and KB4057247. It took about 6 hrs to do this.
Does that mean my computer is very slow?
Thanks for helping me out here. Corrine & Patio

Six hours is a bit long for the Fall Creators update (consider it like a Service Pack).  If you'd like a "check up", I'd be happy to review your logs.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system (32- or 64-bit). If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
  • Right click to run as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • The first time FRST is run, it will produce two logs in the same directory the tool is run from -- FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
  • Copy/paste both FRST.txt and Addition.txt into your reply.
