Question Re BROWSER CRASHES
« on: September 02, 2008, 04:39:49 AM »
i've found a bug that crashes FIREFOX 3, on certain URLS, if FLASHBLOCK is loaded.

(the mozdev folks told me to try FLASH 10- which doesn't seem like a good option, as it's still BETA, and may cause other problems.)

* Anyway
i'm still testing to see what triggers the crashes and if there's a work-around.

doing this, i'll crash FF 3 over and over -- dozens of times in a day.
it recovers gracefully, even pulling back up the same windows (if i choose to do that).

QUESTION:
- is all this crashing, damaging FIREFOX or anything else?

thanks in advance. (and happy labor day!)

PS. i spent a long time trouble-shooting, and this is apparently a bona fide bug (in flashblock - which is only triggered in certain circumstances in FF3 -- not 2).

i don't know.

however, i'd use the newest atf-cleaner (v3.0), the firefox clean-up option.
