Redundant Slashes Attack
« on: January 10, 2007, 02:52:51 AM »
i just got notice of an attack from my norton firewall, when i hit a particular page.

i think it's a mistake, but i copied the norton ALERT, and found the offending code -- and wondered if anyone had any more info on it.

INTRUSION: HTTP APACHE REDUNDANT SLASHES DoS
INTRUDER: localhost(3159)
ATTACKED IP: www.heypsst.com(66.90.105.67)
ATTACKED PORT: http(80)

* i can't print the EXACT code the prompted that "REDUNDANT SLASHES" attack message, because i don't know the escape sequences here to get it to print (it just shows the LINK)

i omitted the IMG SRC= and A HREF etc, and just wrote what seems to be the offending code -- which to me, just looks like it's poorly formed ALT and TITLE tags, with too many SLASHES.
