With the release of Windows 11, version 22H2 Build 22621 made available in the Release Preview Channel, the general release of Windows 11 22H2 is moving closer, thought by some to be between mid-summer and early autumn.  The list below is a summary of the most significant changes, described by Ciprian Adrian Rusen in Digital Citizen at What's coming to Windows 11: An overview of Windows 11 22H2.

• A better, more personalizable Start Menu
• A slightly improved, more functional taskbar
• A new Task Manager with an Efficiency mode for apps
• You can set the default browser (and other default apps) with one click
• Improved Quick Settings with a right-click option
• Improved window management tweaks and more touchscreen gestures
• A slightly better File Manager, with improved OneDrive integration
• A new loading animation when booting Windows 11 or when installing updates
• Frustrating change: You can't install Windows 11 using a local account!
• Potentially frustrating: Suggested content inside Windows 11 Search
• Other minor improvements to Windows 11
