I may stand to be corrected but doesn't Flash Player suppose to discontinue in 2020?

Hi Hardhead,

I cheated and looked it up. ::)
Adobe will end support of Flash Player on December 31, 2020. Here's what you can expect in the meantime for each Microsoft browser: In the next version of Microsoft Edge (built on Chromium), Flash will be disabled by default.

That's not cheating... Thats being smart. :)
I thought I remembered reading about it I think this past summer.. Not sure if I got the time right... LOL but my memory is still working. :P'
If I remember it was going to be replaced by HTML5 I think and I haven't looked at anything yet.

All in all that was a great question to ask about since there are probably others like myself who didn't know. (Your memory is still working...LOL)

In anticipation, I removed it from our four Windows 7 computers in September 2019.
Someone told me that NOAA radar doesn't work without it. He is correct. Since I use a weather app on my android tablet, that wasn't a problem for me.

I haven't come across anything that is a problem because I removed flash except one thing. An Acer netbook purchased in 2011 and handed down to my husband when I got a newer one in 2013 occasionally came up with an Acer update box that said "Download the latest version of flash". Since I turned of Acer updater, this was driving me crazy. Where was this coming from and what was causing it to popup. It took me a few months until I realiized he was using the stock Acer screensaver which used flash. Every time the screensaver tried to run and couldn't the box popped up! I changed his screensaver to solve the problem.
Chugging coffee and computing!

Pete!

I didn't uninstall Flash Player, but have it set to "Ask to Activate".

In recent years, there's only been one website, that I visit regularly, that asks. It's an anagram-finder that's useful when playing word games.
