Need help downloading pictures from camera.

When my old digital camera was unable to use the program I always used for the pictures on the camera, I then started removing the sd card from the camera, putting it into the card reader slot and using Windows Explorer to copy the pictures to the computer. You will probably have to do it this way.

I no longer use the digital cameras. Instead we take pictures with our phones and tablets. There is no problem connecting them to our computers.

Before you give up on this I've seen another option we could try compatibility mode Ron
Check this out and see if you're able to run the camera software in compatibility mode..

 I fallowed these instructions and type canon power shot or (CW8104aW_installer.exe), then click on open file location then properties but i can never find Compatibility?
