I have a legacy extension in Palemoon called HTTPS everywhere.
I also have the same addon HTTPS in FF ESR, using the new extension system.

My question is this: Do I really need this extension? I'm trying to figure out if all newer browsers enforce https rather than a simple http?

Additional information:
1. All I found on the Palemoon forum were "discussions" and one person in 2018 asking the same question I asked.

As far as Firefox, it seems it might be a useful extensions

so I might let it remain there.

I try to use as few extensions as possible.

All of the sites I visit these days are HTTPS.

I guess the only way I'll know is to disable it in Palemoon and see what happens by keeping my eyes on the address bar.
