Hayc59 asked about activating the calendar.  We played around with it a bit and it seems ok so we moved all the welcomes & stuff to the Events forum.  We can also tie in "events" from the calendar to that forum.  You can access the calendar from the menu above (between profile and logout).

BTW, if you want to list your birthday in your profile but not show your age, just leave the year as 0000.  :)
